Faith Tech Bible School
Uganda 2006

Uganda

In June 2006, Wendy, Elizabeth, and I packed all our things into storage and moved to Kampala, Uganda.  I was able to leave my employment once again on a 7-month leave-of-absence.  The school was scheduled to run from July to January.

The Ugandan Bible School would be conducted slightly different from previous schools.  Although Wendy and I would be the primary teachers for the duration of the school, other first-time missionary teachers would join us for their initial teaching experience overseas.

It was a very special and memorable experience.  What a wonderful time we had sharing this ministry opportunity with our Bible School colleagues!

Kampala is a very beautiful place blessed by God with green rolling hills and moderate temperatures year-round.  The environment is perfect for growing almost everything.  We were able to enjoy fresh pineapples, bananas, and mangoes almost every day.

We were treated very well by our students.  They were so appreciative of this free Bible school and its teachings.  They were also very generous towards us.  We received many gifts and were invited to nice meals in their homes.  God bless them for their abundant hospitality.

Our first guest teacher was Brother Justin.  Justin helped us to teach the “Faith” series.  Josh arrived soon after and assisted with teaching the “Cross” series.  Rick followed with the “Divine Healing” course, and last to arrive was, our only husband and wife team, Tim and Pauline with “Moral Government”.

Each guest teacher made an impact upon the class, and we want to express our gratitude and that of the students.  Thank you!  Also, thanks to everyone who provided prayer and financial support to help make this school possible.  God sees and He will reward.  Amen!

Comparing the old covenant to the new

Our graduation was held on December 23rd just before Christmas.  We had a wonderful time celebrating together with our graduates.

Before we left Uganda, one of our graduates, Joseph, had started re-teaching the Bible School to a new group of students.  We were blessed to sit in on the first session.  He did a wonderful job!  The work continues...

Extra praise report:

During my leave-of-absence from work, I was released from employment.  My wife and I remained in agreement trusting God to provide a means (job) to fulfill for our material needs.  Even before returning home, I was contacted by former work colleagues willing to help me get rehired.  I am grateful to God for putting us on their hearts.   I had been in the States for only a couple weeks when I was offered a job again.  GOD is EVER faithful.  He is so good to us!
