Faith Tech Bible School
Sierra Leone 2008

Sierra Leone

In March of 2008, we opened a Bible School in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

As the first teaching team into Sierra Leone, Wendy and I went in a week early to map out the area and find suitable lodging.  We finally settled into the National Hostel adjacent to the National Stadium.

Our classrooms were nearby.  The morning class was held in a church facility a short taxi ride away, and the evening class was within walking distance.

Wendy and I taught the Word Series followed by Aaron and Josh who taught the Faith Series.  Tim and Pauline were the third team and taught the Cross Series, and lastly Rick and Justin with Advanced Cross.

We were blessed to be able to spend a weekend with Aaron and Josh before our departure from Sierra Leone.  We enjoyed a great time of fellowship and encouragement.  I know the other teachers appreciated the crossover time in Sierra Leone as well.

Unfortunately we were not able to continue the Bible School at this time.  We praise God for what He was able to accomplish in the school, for all the teachers and their many sacrifices, and for the dear saints that we met.  Perhaps we will be able to reconvene the Sierra Leone Bible School in the future should the Lord lead.
